With clear skies, a temperature of 70°F, and a strong case of the "Mellow Mondays," my mom, sister, and I eagerly drove to our long-awaited destination. Savage Goods (http://savagegoods.com) is a neighborhood cafe found on your way to downtown El Paso, Texas. With a both quaint and contemporary atmosphere, it has become a popular dining establishment for many.

The employees were friendly, and the environment was welcoming. It brought a smile to my face that I couldn't help but appreciate.

I ordered a Grapefruit Jarrito with a sesame ginger salad. My mom joined me in ordering a rustic salad with creamy lemon avocado dressing, roasted chicken, and a cup of coffee. Finally, my sister ordered a Mexican Cola Jarrito with a green chile chicken sandwich. A cupcake brought our time there to a close. Splitting it in half, we were pleasantly surprised to find a yummy blueberry center with lemon frosting.

The moments I am able to spend time with my loved ones and deeply appreciate their company hold a special place in my heart. With limited time home from college during the Christmas break, adventures like these never fail to make me acknowledge my blessings appreciate God's love working in my life. With delicious food and good company, what more could I ask for?
